The K3 is a next-generation glassomizer from Aspire, one of the most respected hardware brands in the vaping industry. A glassomizer is simply a clearomizer (a refillable tank you can see through) made with Pyrex glass rather than plastic. That matters for one straightforward reason: Pyrex glass is acid and heat resistant, so it will not crack or discolour when you use e-liquids with higher flavouring content. Certain VG-heavy shortfill e-liquids and intensely flavoured concentrates can slowly erode a plastic tank, but they will have no effect on Pyrex. The K3 is therefore a more durable long-term option than comparable plastic-body tanks.

Replacement Coils
The Aspire K3 Tank runs on the Aspire BVC Clearomizer Coil 1.8ohm, which we stock at Southampton Vaping Centre. When your coil starts to produce a burnt or muted flavour, or the vapour output noticeably drops, it is time to swap it. Replacing a BVC coil is straightforward: unscrew the base of the K3, pull the old coil out, prime the new one by adding a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton wicking, fit it in place, reassemble the tank, and wait five minutes before vaping to let the coil saturate fully.
What Type of E-Liquid Works Best?
The Aspire K3 Tank is designed for 50/50 e-liquids, meaning those with an equal or higher proportion of propylene glycol (PG) compared to vegetable glycerin (VG). High-PG e-liquids are thinner, so they wick properly through the coil without flooding it. They also tend to carry flavour more intensely and produce a slightly warmer, more pronounced throat hit, both of which suit the MTL vaping style well.
A standard 10ml 50/50 freebase e-liquid in your preferred nicotine strength is the obvious pairing. If you vape at 3mg or 6mg, freebase gives you smooth, all-day use. At 12mg or 18mg, the K3 and the MTL draw style work together to give you a good nicotine hit with each puff. Nic salt e-liquids at 10mg or 20mg also work very well in this tank for vapers who want a faster-acting nicotine delivery with less harshness at higher strengths.
Avoid 70/30 or 80/20 high-VG shortfill e-liquids in the K3. The VG ratio is too thick for the coil to wick efficiently, which can lead to dry hits and reduced coil life. The tank is not designed for sub-ohm, high-wattage direct lung vaping.
