Orca Vape San Dynasty Pro Pod Kit — Review

If you're looking for a reliable everyday pod kit that won't leave you tethered to a charging cable, the Orca Vape San Dynasty Pro is one worth knowing about. We've had it in stock at Southampton Vaping Centre for a while now, and it's earned a steady following — especially from customers making the switch away from disposables.

At £29.99, it sits in a sensible mid-range spot: more capable than the budget options, but without the price tag of a full-size mod setup.

What's in the box?

Open the San Dynasty Pro and you get everything you need to start vaping straight away:

  • San Dynasty Pro device

  • 0.6ohm San Dynasty Pod

  • 0.8ohm San Dynasty Pod

  • Drip tip

  • 16500 1500mAh replaceable battery

  • Quick guide

Two pods in the box — a tighter 0.8ohm for a more cigarette-like draw, and a slightly more open 0.6ohm for those who want a bit more vapour. A good starting point for most vapers.

The replaceable battery — the standout feature

Most pod kits charge via USB and that's that. The San Dynasty Pro takes a different approach: the 1500mAh battery is replaceable. Pull it out, drop a charged one in, and you're back vaping in seconds.

For commuters, shift workers, or anyone who spends long days away from a socket, this is genuinely useful. It also extends the life of the device — you're not at the mercy of a built-in cell slowly losing capacity over time.

That said, it does mean you'll want to pick up a spare battery if you're planning a long day out. We stock them at the shop.

How does it vape?

The San Dynasty Pro is built for MTL (mouth to lung) vaping — the style that most closely mirrors how you'd smoke a cigarette. Draw it like a cigarette, not like a bong, and it rewards you with smooth, consistent flavour. If you're not sure which vaping style suits you, see our MTL vs DTL guide.

It works best with 50/50 e-liquid or nicotine salts. If you're coming from disposables, nic salts at 10mg or 20mg are the natural match — same satisfaction, significantly less cost over time, and far less waste. Browse nic salts and 50/50 e-liquids at Southampton Vaping Centre.

Leak protection is one of the selling points Orca Vape make a lot of, and in our experience it's solid. The pod system is well-engineered and we haven't had customers coming back with wet pockets.

Type-C charging is a welcome touch — same cable as most modern phones, no hunting for a micro-USB lead.

Five colours to choose from

The San Dynasty Pro comes in five finishes, all at the same £29.99 price:

  • Rose Quartz — soft pink, popular with customers who want something a bit different

  • Atlantic Blue — deep navy, clean and understated

  • Vintage Reverse — a two-tone finish with an older-school feel

  • Billet Silver — aluminium grey, the most neutral of the five

  • Stealth Black — all-black, the most popular in the shop

All five are in stock right now.

Who is it for?

Ex-disposable users are the core audience. The San Dynasty Pro gives you the same easy, satisfying MTL experience, but with refillable pods and a replaceable battery — so you spend less over time and generate a fraction of the waste.

Beginners will find it straightforward. No settings to adjust, no complicated menus — fill the pod, press the button, vape.

Experienced vapers who want a compact backup device will also find it reliable. It's small enough (82.5 x 37.7 x 19mm) to sit comfortably in a pocket without bulk.

Our verdict

The replaceable battery alone sets the San Dynasty Pro apart from most pod kits at this price. It's well made, straightforward to use, and available in colours that actually look good. If you're switching from disposables or want a reliable everyday kit that keeps up with a busy day, it's a strong choice.
