The Innokin Z Coil, formerly known as the Innokin Zenith and Innokin Plexus-Z coil, is the replacement coil family for a wide range of Innokin vape tanks and kits, available in a range of resistance options across mouth-to-lung and restricted direct-to-lung styles.

Which devices it fits

Z coils can be used with a wide variety of Innokin tanks and kits, which is what makes them one of the most practical coil platforms in the Innokin range: one pack covers the whole family. If your Innokin tank or kit takes Z coils, these are the spares to keep in the drawer.

Choosing your resistance

Available in a range of resistance options, the Z coil lets you take your pick between MTL (mouth-to-lung) and RDTL (restricted direct-to-lung) vaping styles. The higher resistance options produce a tighter, cooler draw with less vapour, which suits higher-strength e-liquids and a cigarette-style pull. The lower resistance options open the draw up slightly for more vapour and warmer flavour. MTL remains the Z platform's home territory, which is why so many Innokin starter kits are built around it.

Tips for the best results

• Let a new coil sit filled for five to ten minutes before firing so the coil's wicking material fully saturates.

• Keep the power modest on the higher resistance options; they are designed for a gentle draw rather than high wattage.

• Replace the coil when flavour starts to dull, which on a well-treated Z coil is a comfortable stretch of use.
